24 killed as bus falls into river in Rajasthan’s Bundi
Bundi, Feb 26 (HS): A major road accident took place in Rajasthan on Wednesday morning. Here a bus full of passengers fell into the Mej river near Papadi village. So far 18 people have been killed in accident while more than a dozen people are being rescued from the river.
According to the information, family members from Kota’s Dadibari were going to Sawai Madhopur to attend the wedding ceremony when the accident took place. The driver of the bus reportedly lost control over the bus.
Bundi district collector Antar Singh Nehra told that the accident took place on the way to Sawai Madhopur. The district administration and the NDRF team rushed to the spot as soon as the bus fell into the river. The NDRF team is engaged in rescue and relief work. So far, 12-13 bodies have been taken out of the bus and rescue operation is going on to save the people.
