Hyderabad(Telangana),05 April(HS): With many a Tabligis evading the official machinery to go to quarantine ward it was left to revenue dept to collect data pertaining to those who visited New Delhi for Markazi.
According to latest reports yet to be confirmed by South Central Railway the total number of passengers who travelled to New Delhi and back between March 13 to March 23 is a whopping 2.2 lacs in both the Telugu speaking states.
The Tablighi meets were held on 13-15 March. The centre for Railway information system (CRIS)is believed to have shared the details of rail passengers on these days that includes names, mobile nos and addresses furnished in the requisition slips.
Meanwhile, the Telangana Government has claimed based on information furnished by South Central Railway they have speeded up the process of quarantining the Covid suspects in all earnest. But again those who travelled in unreserved compartments neither provided details of their mobile nos nor place of residence.
The other nightmare for the Telangana state government is the fact that many Tabligis who attended Markazi in  New Delhi visited Mosques on 20 March(Friday prayers ) to address those who offered namaaz and briefed them on the New Delhi meet.
The officials of the Health department suspects this can result in secondary cases of Covid if no precautions are taken on time. A health department official has claimed they have seized the mobiles of those admitted in quarantine to ascertain details of their contacts and are working on them.
The recent death of a Positive patient in Shadnagar is being cited to establish the fact. A woman who ran a Kirana shop with no foreign travel history and no visit to Delhi died just a day before, she was declared Carona Positive.
The District Collector and Police Commissioner visited the village Cheguru and learnt that she had tenants, three Bihari youths who travelled along the Tabligis on the way back to Hyderabad from New Delhi.
