1K healthcare personnel given Covid-19 vaccine at NC Rly

PRAYAGRAJ, February 8 (HS): Since rollout on 22.01.2021, Covid-19 vaccination program is increasing steadily over North Central Railway. Railway Hospitals at Prayagraj, Kanpur, Tundla, Jhansi and Agra and health units of Gwalior, Lalitpur, Orai, Mahoba and Banda have already undertaken Covid-19 vaccination while other Railway hospitals and health units have been kept ready to start this biggest immunization program of the nation as and when required. So far 979 primary healthcare personnel of North Central Railway including 109 doctors have been administered Covid-19 vaccine.

Of total 979 frontline healthcare personnel vaccinated so far, 241 were vaccinated at Central Hospital Prayagraj, 204 at Rly hospital Kanpur, 56 at Rly hospital Tundla 258 at Railway Hospital Jhansi and 158 at Rly Hospital Agra while rest 62 were vaccinated in health units under Jhansi division. All participants of vaccination program are being observed for a period of 30 minutes in the Railway Hospital and no adverse effect post immunization has been reported so far. Large scale participation of Railway Doctors in Covid-19 vaccination accounting to more than 10% of total healthcare personnel vaccinated so far, helped confidence building and this important drive is gaining momentum over North Central Railway.
