15 IPS officers transferred in Tamil Nadu

New Delhi, 14 May (HS): The Tamil Nadu government has on Friday transferred as many as 15 IPS officers. This is the third time since the DMK government assumed office on May 7 after winning the polls, that the IPS officers have been transferred in the State.

The senior IPS officers who have been transferred included DGP Prateep V Phillip who has been transferred and posted as the Director of the Tamil Nadu Police Academy. The Additional DGP K Jayanth Murali has been posted as head of the armed police unit in Chennai.

The other IPS officers transferred included former city police commissioner Mahesh Kumar Aggarwal as Addl. DGP Crime in Chennai, ADGP Abash Kumar transferred and posted as the head of Economics Offence Wing, CID, while IGP R Dhinakaran has been transferred and posted as the IGP of Economics Offence Wing, CID unit.
