Mamata join hands with Prashant Kishore for favorable Assembly poll results
Kolkata, June 07 (HS): Proving her desperation to ensure a resounding political victory of Trinamool Congress against BJP in the coming state Assembly elections slated for 2021 overcoming all odds, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has appointed the country’s top most political strategist Prashant Kishore (PK) to achieve her goal by any means.
Keeping this in view Mamata Banerjee held a marathon meeting with Prasant Kishote at her office at the state Secretariat Nabanna yesterday.
According to party sources, Prashant Kishore who also worked as a master political strategist of several political big wigs including Prime Minister Narendra Modi prior to his election and ensured the massive victory of BJP before the first term of the NDA government in 2014, had been asked to prepare an effective ‘Blue Print’ on behalf of TMC so that the ruling party could face the coming Assembly elections in 2021 with full confidence.
They said as per the agreement, Prashant Kishore and his well experienced team would begin their work in Bengal from July this year to make a detailed planning and other strategies on how to stop the BJP juggernaut in the state before the assembly poll which was still about two years away.
Though it is not yet known the exact nitty gritty of the agreement and how it would function when Trinamool Congress has already been facing a crisis of existence in West Bengal after experiencing a humiliating defeat in the hands of BJP by handing over to the party (BJP) as many as 18 of the total 42 Lok Sabha seats in the state, one senior party leader told Hindusthan Samachar that ‘Yes we know it is a Herculean task, but we are extremely confident that under the leadership of master strategist Prashant Kishore we shall be able to make a turnaround and achieve the desired success’. He, however, did not want to be identified.
It may be recalled that Kishore first shot into fame after he achieved a huge success following the election of Nitish Kumar as the Chief Minister of Bihar in early 2002 after working with him and his party (JD-U) for over a year.
After that he never looked back and helped the election victory of not only Narendra Modi at the National level but that of also of Jagan Mohan Reddy in Andhra Pradesh this time when Reddy and his party clinched as many as 150 of the total 175 Assembly seats (in Andhara Pradesh) this time.
But it is not true that Prashant Kishore never tasted any defeat as his strategies to help win the Congress and Samajwadi Party alliance in Uttar Pradesh Assembly poll about two years ago failed miserably with BJP returning to power with a massive mandate.
Now, it remains to be seen whether this unique strategist would be able to bring the desired results for TMC overcoming all odds in favour of BJP and by stopping its uncontrolable growth in Bengal after the Lok Sabha elections.
