Tribute paid to martyrs in Kashmir

Jammu, February 19 (HS): Jammu and Kashmir police have paid rich tribute to martyred police cop in an encounter between security forces and terrorists in Kashmir. The wreath laying ceremony of martyred Mohammad Altaf, who attained martyrdom while fighting terrorists at Budgam held at District Police Line, Srinagar. IGP Kashmir, Vijay Kumar and IG CRPF along with senior officers of police and Security Forces paid homage to the martyr. The Special Police Officer (SPO) was killed and another policeman injured after an encounter broke out between security forces and terrorists in Budgam district on Friday. While in another attack on police, Constables Mohammad Yousuf of Zurhama Kupwara and Suhail Ahmad were martyred. “We pay our rich tributes to the #martyrs and standby their families at this crucial juncture,” the police tweeted. Meanwhile, terrorists were killed in an encounter with security forces in Shopian.
