PM Modi to Unveil ₹50,000 Crore Mega Infrastructure Projects in Maharashtra
On Saturday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate infrastructure projects worth over ₹50,000 crore in Maharashtra. This includes the first phase of the Mumbai Metro Line-3, connecting BKC to Aarey JVLR. This phase will cost approximately ₹14,120 crore and feature ten stations, nine of which will be underground. Once operational, it is expected to serve around 12 lakh passengers daily.
Additionally, PM Modi will inaugurate five solar parks in Washim, boasting a total capacity of 19 MW. He will also distribute the 18th installment of the PM-KISAN Samman Nidhi, amounting to ₹20,000 crore, benefiting about 9.4 crore farmers.
During his visit, Modi will launch the fifth installment of the NaMo Shetkari Mahasanman Nidhi Yojana, which will disburse around ₹2,000 crore. Furthermore, he will announce 7,500 projects under the Agriculture Infrastructure Fund, worth over ₹1,920 crore.
In Thane, he will lay the foundation stone for the Thane Integral Ring Metro Rail Project and the Elevated Eastern Freeway Extension. The combined cost of these two projects is around ₹15,510 crore.
These initiatives reflect the government’s commitment to enhancing infrastructure and supporting agriculture in Maharashtra. By investing in these projects, the government aims to boost economic growth, improve transportation, and provide substantial support to farmers across the state.
