Ayodhya, UP – Prime Minister Narendra Modi reached Ayodhya on Tuesday morning and marked a major milestone in the Ram Mandir’s journey. He hoisted a saffron flag atop the newly completed Ayodhya Ram Temple. He used short, emotional lines as he said the country “heals centuries-old wounds” today. He also urged India to embrace the values of Lord Ram while moving toward long-term national goals.

Modi began his visit with special prayers inside the temple complex. He walked with Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and Governor Anandiben Patel. The three leaders greeted sadhus, saints, dignitaries and thousands of invitees who filled the Ram Janmabhoomi premises. The Dhwajarohan ceremony symbolised the architectural completion of the temple.

The flag Modi hoisted carried deep cultural meaning. It featured a radiant Sun, an ‘Om’, and the Kovidara tree. Modi said the flag represented unity, dignity and the guiding spirit of Ram Rajya. He described it as a symbol of India’s civilisational continuity.

He then addressed the gathering. He shifted the focus from celebration to responsibility. He said India must absorb Lord Ram’s values to shape its future. “We must learn from Lord Ram. We must understand his personality. We must internalise his behaviour,” he said. Modi positioned Lord Ram not just as a religious figure but as an ideal for national character.

Modi then outlined a long-term vision for India. He said the country must prepare itself for the next thousand years. “In 2047, when we celebrate 100 years of independence, we must build a Viksit Bharat,” he said. He asked citizens to think beyond the present moment and invest in India’s future foundations.

He warned citizens against short-term political and social thinking. He said that when people act only for immediate gains, they harm future generations. “This country existed when we were not there, and it will exist after we are gone,” he said. He stressed that India is a “vibrant society” that must act with foresight and discipline.

He urged the nation to look at the coming decades and centuries. Modi said India must stay united and draw inspiration from its deep cultural roots. He noted that the completion of the Ram Mandir was not just a religious achievement but a cultural awakening.

In conclusion, Modi framed the ceremony as a new chapter for India. He said the Ram Temple stood as proof of the nation’s collective patience and determination. He described it as a symbol of unity, pride and civilisational strength. He urged every citizen to move forward with responsibility, vision and faith.

With the saffron flag now flying high above Ayodhya, Modi said India steps into a future where spiritual values guide national progress.
