New Delhi, March 16 (HS): Taking as precautionary measure amid the spread of Covid-19 in the country, Madhya Pradesh Legislative Assembly has been today adjourned till March 26.

The Budget session that started on Monday with the address of Governor Lalji Tandon was adjourned first for five minutes following a ruckus. Meanwhile, after addressing the House, Governor urged the Members to discharge their duties in view of the prevailing  conditions.

During his address in the Vidhan Sabha, Governor Lalji Tandon urged the Members of Legislative Assembly to run the budget session peacefully. Amid uproar in the assembly, Tandon said that the work was being done according to the road map  laid by the government in Madhya Pradesh.

The Governor advised all the members to follow democratic values in the State. As the House started on the first day of the Budget session, both the BJP and congress party MLAs kept on accusing each other on different issues.

Following the adjournment of the House till March 26, the possibilities of floor test in Madhya Pradesh Assembly also came to a complete halt. Angered by this, the BJP MLAs have sat on a dharna in the House itself. They are continuously opposing the way of proceedings of the House today.
