Jagan Reddy takes oath as the new Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh
Vijayawada, May 30 (HS): Andhra Pradesh Governor ESL Narasimhan today administered YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, whose YSR Congress Party swept the recently concluded Assembly polls and bagged 151 seats in the 175 member assembly, the oath of office and secrecy at Indira Gandhi Municipal Stadium in Vijayawada.
YSR Congress party president is the second Chief Minister of bifurcated Andhra Pradesh. After the swearing-in as Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, Jagan Reddy said that he would continue to work for the welfare of the people and all round development of the state.
Around 20,000 people including all MLAs, MLCs, MPs of YSR Congress party were invited for the swearing-in ceremony. Telangana Chief Minister K Chandra Sekhar Rao, Bihar CM Nitish Kumar and Janasena Party Chief Pawan Kalyan were among a host of dignitaries to attend the ceremony.
