Four illegal infiltrators deported to Bangladesh
Assam Police arrested four Bangladeshi infiltrators near the India-Bangladesh border in Karimganj. Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma shared the news on social media, emphasizing the state’s vigilance. The infiltrators, identified as Akhtar, Riya Sheikh, Eva Khatun, and Tahura Khatun, were immediately sent back to Bangladesh.
Sarma praised the police for their efforts in safeguarding the border. He expressed his appreciation, stating that the officers consistently prevent infiltration. According to the Chief Minister, Assam remains fully alert and committed to border security. This arrest underscores the state’s ongoing dedication to protecting its borders from illegal entry.
