43 people killed in paper factory fire

New Delhi, Dec 8 (HS): As many as 43 people were killed and many others sustained burn injuries in a massive fire that broke out in a building in Amaj Mandi on Rani Jhansi road, near Filmistan area. the incident took place at wee hours on Sunday.
The fire department have rescued more than 56 people who sustained burn injuries in the incident. Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal ondered a judicial inquiry into the incident and declared to give Rs 10 lakh to the relatives of deceased and Rs. one lakh to the injured persons. The Minister has also declaired free medical facilities to the injured ones.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi tweeted, “The fire in Delhi’s Anaj Mandi on Rani Jhansi Road is extremely horrific. My thoughts are with those who lost their loved ones. Wishing the injured a quick recovery.”
