Pushpa 2: The Rule shatters records, crosses ₹1200 crore on day 32, Allu Arjun’s blockbuster run continues!
Allu Arjun’s Pushpa 2: The Rule continues its box office success, even after a month of release. The Sukumar-directed film, which also stars Rashmika Mandanna and Fahadh Faasil, has now crossed ₹1200 crore in total earnings in India. According to Sacnilk.com, the movie earned ₹7 crore on its 32nd day, marking its fifth Sunday in theatres. Overall, the film has grossed ₹1206 crore.
Pushpa 2 had a record-breaking opening weekend, with ₹725.8 crore in earnings. The momentum carried through the second week, with a total of ₹264.8 crore. In the third week, the film made ₹129.5 crore, and by the end of its fourth week, it grossed ₹69.65 crore. Additionally, the Hindi-dubbed version of the film crossed the ₹800 crore mark in India, making it the first Hindi film to achieve this milestone.
Produced by Mythri Movie Makers and Sukumar Writings, with music from T-Series, Pushpa 2 has become a massive hit. The third film in the Pushpa franchise, titled Pushpa 2: The Rampage, was announced in the film’s end credits.
However, the film’s success has been marred by controversy. During a stampede-like incident at the Sandhya Theatre in Hyderabad on December 4, a 35-year-old woman named Revathi died, and her eight-year-old son was injured while trying to catch a glimpse of Allu Arjun at the premiere. The actor was arrested on December 13, but was granted interim bail the following day. The Telangana high court extended his bail until January 10.
