Kartik Aaryan admits to burnout: ‘Feels like a race with no finish line’
Actor Kartik Aaryan reflected on his early career struggles, sharing how he built his own path without industry connections or big-budget directors. Currently promoting his upcoming Diwali release, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3, Kartik opened up about working harder than others in Bollywood who had established backing. “When I started, I didn’t have a Rs 500 crore director handed to me. I had to create my own opportunities,” he told The Indian Express. Kartik explained that success in films depends on more than just the actors involved—it’s a blend of factors, including timing, team dynamics, and audience appeal.
Kartik emphasized his contentment with his career, despite lacking the “silver platter” some actors receive. He said he feels no pressure because he has consistently taken risks and worked with debut directors, knowing he must maximize his potential independently. Reflecting on the complexities of the box office, he explained, “There’s mathematics behind every release: the team’s past work, the release date, holidays, and target audiences all matter. When you calculate these, you don’t feel pressured.”
Grateful for his achievements, Kartik acknowledged how far he has come. “I’m in a good space. I’m recognized across the country, and that’s something I appreciate,” he shared. Kartik is confident as Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3, backed by T-Series and featuring Madhuri Dixit, Vidya Balan, and Triptii Dimri, hits theaters on November 1. The film will clash with Ajay Devgn’s Singham Again, but Kartik remains positive, stating there’s enough audience for both big releases, even mentioning he’d watch Singham Again himself.
Reflecting on his journey, Kartik expressed gratitude without comparisons or complaints, proud of his hard-earned place in the industry.
