MUHS cancels Pharmacology exam after paper leak scandal
The Maharashtra University of Health Sciences (MUHS) will re-conduct the Pharmacology exam for MBBS second-year students on December 19. The decision follows a paper leak incident reported on December 2.
Dr. Sandeep Kadu, Controller of Examinations at MUHS, confirmed that the university received an email on the afternoon of December 2, revealing that the multiple-choice question paper for the Pharmacology-I exam had been leaked prior to the scheduled time. As a result, the university decided to cancel the exam and reschedule it for December 19.
On December 3, the university’s vice-chancellor instructed a probe into the matter and issued directives for action. The decision to re-conduct the exam was made following a meeting of the Board of Examinations.
To ensure fairness, the re-examination will be held in the afternoon session of December 19, as per the Board’s instructions. This move is aimed at preventing any injustice to students who were affected by the leak.
