IIT Palakkad offers paid summer internships for UG & PG students – Apply now!

IIT Palakkad has launched a six-week residential summer internship program for undergraduate and postgraduate students. This opportunity allows students to gain hands-on research experience and develop their interest in teaching and research careers. The program is set to begin in May, and students can apply through the official website: sun.iitpkd.ac.in.

Selected candidates will receive a monthly stipend of Rs 8,000, totaling Rs 12,000 for the entire duration of the program. However, interns must cover their accommodation costs, including hostel room rent and mess charges. The internship offers an immersive experience with access to various hardware and software analysis tools.

Upon completion of the program, interns will receive certificates, but only those who successfully finish the program will be awarded them. The program is designed to foster a research-oriented mindset and encourage students to explore careers in academia.

The program aims to provide students with a comprehensive experience, combining research training with real-world applications. It is important to note that students currently enrolled at IIT Palakkad are not eligible to apply. However, foreign nationals studying at Indian universities or institutes are considered on par with Indian nationals for eligibility.
