Deeply saddened by the passing of Shri Ratan Tata, a visionary leader who transformed Indian industry and touched countless lives. Ratan Tata was an Indian industrialist and philanthropist who served as chairman of Tata Group and Tata Sons from 1990 to 2012, and then as interim chairman from October 2016 through February 2017. In 2008, he received the Padma Vibhushan, the second highest civilian honour in India. Ratan had previously received the Padma Bhushan, the third highest civilian honour, in 2000.

His life embodied the values of integrity and compassion, serving as an inspiration to many. As India’s leading industrialist, his remarkable contributions to the economy and job creation transformed countless lives. He was not only an industrialist but also a role model and source of inspiration for crores of people. Ratan Tata‘s visionary leadership not only took the Tata Group to new heights but also strengthened India’s economy by creating millions of jobs and promoting innovation.

Moreover, his dedication to philanthropy, particularly in education, healthcare, and rural development, has left a lasting impact on millions of people in India. Under his leadership, Tata Group expanded globally, acquiring companies like Tetley, Jaguar Land Rover, and Corus, and launching innovative products like the Tata Nano. His relentless dedication to nation-building, innovation, and philanthropy has left an indelible mark on millions of lives. My thoughts and prayers are with the bereaved family, friends and followers in the hour of grief.
