Delhi-Noida border still sealed
New Delhi, 01 June, The Lockdown still continues due to the Covid crisis. A new phase of Lockdown is started from June 1, with a number of exemptions. According to the guidelines of the Union Ministry of Home Affairs, one can travel to any part of the country by private vehicle, only if the state government permits. However, people living in Delhi and adjoining areas like Noida, Ghaziabad may still face some trouble.
The Delhi government opened the borders during Lockdown-4 and declared that no pass will be required for entry or exit. Though, Noida and Ghaziabad did not open their borders citing the high number of Covid-19 cases in the national capital. A traffic jam-like situation was seen on the Noida border on Monday morning and only people having passes were permitted to enter.
However, Haryana government has also allowed inter-state and inter-district vehicles. The biggest impact of this decision was seen on the Delhi-Gurugram border, where large number of vehicles move every day. Vehicles were allowed to move along the Delhi-Gurugram border on Monday morning.
