Modi says power of democracy will take nation to new horizons
New Delhi, May 30 (HS): On completion of one year of the second term of the NDA government at Centre, Prime Minister Narendra Modi thanked the nation for the valuable support in taking the country to new heights. In a letter to the nation, PM Modi said that it is the collective power of democracy of the country which will take the entire nation to new horizons.
Referring to the present-day Corona crisis and poor economy, PM Modi said that country would soon overcome the crisis created by the pandemic. “We will unite and face all problems firmly,” Modi said.
Prime Minister Modi said that in the last one year, the nation has taken historic decisions and the country has also made rapid progress. Referring to India’s war against Corona, Modi said while on the one hand, there were big forces with large economic resources and efficient healthcare systems, on the other hand our country had been struggling with huge population and limited resources including healthcare facilities.
The Prime Minister said that many people feared that India would become a problem for the world once Corona was hit, but the people of the country changed those assumptions of the world. He said that India would set an example in economic revival and surprise the world, just as it did in its fight against the Corona epidemic.
Modi further wrote, “We have proved that the collective strength of Indians is much more than the power of any other country worldwide.”
Modi appreciated the exemplary courage of the people working in industries, migrant labourers who have faced extraordinary sufferings during this period and despite facing all the hardships, they were giving their full support in this war against Corona.
He said that it was a long battle but we have started moving on the path of victory and it would be achieved through our collective efforts.
On the economic front, PM Modi said that the entire world is confronted with this crises but India will soon emerge as a strong economy and set an example after overcoming from corona crises.
PM Narendra Modi further said we have to be self reliant to boost the economy and have to face the crisis unitedly. The 20 lakh crore package given recently for the self-reliant India campaign is a step in this direction. India will reduce its dependence on imports and move towards self-sufficiency.
At the end of his letter, the Prime Minister said, ‘We have to perform duty and success will follow us’. “I bow to everyone and wish the countrymen to be healthy and safe,” said Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
