Online job fraudster nabbed by police
Hyderabad,(Telangana) 04 January(HS): Sleuths of Cyber Crime Police of CCS, Detective Department, Hyderabad have arrested one accused by name Aravind Kumar who was involved in online job fraud and a resident of NOIDA ,SECTOR 121, UP State.
Police received a complaint from a lady who uploaded her resume in the Naukri.com & Monster.She subsequently received a call on her mobile to send copies of study certificates to their mail id as she was selected .
She was told to deposit into various bank accounts fees towards reference ID fees, profile verification fees, Agreement Process, Medical and Bank account opening fees, charted accountant fees etc. . Believing them, she transferred a total amount of Rs. 86,170/- through her Phone Pe-account. Later they switched off their phones and were not responding to her calls. Then she realized that she was cheated by them. Police registered a case U/s 66 C, D ,ITA Act and 419, 420 IPC and investigated and nabbed Aravind Kumar.
Modus operandi of the accused was that he opened a call centre at Awana Complex 2nd floor, sector 49, Noida. and hired tele callers who in turn used to contact the Job seekers and after collecting resumes would assure appointment and start extracting the money in name of registration fee, profile verification fee, Agreement process fee, Medical and Bank account opening fee, Charted accountant fee and Maintenance charges etc.
