1 killed, 15 wounded in gas pipeline blast in California
California, July 16(HS): A person was killed in a gas pipeline in Murrieta city of South California while 15 others were injured. This city is located 80 miles from California.
The explosion was so horrible that a house was completely demolished, while glasses of surrounding houses were broken. A fire broke out in the gas pipeline after the explosion, whose flames appeared up to thirty feet in the air. Earlier, local residents feared the earthquake, but later they came to know that there was a blast in the gas pipeline.
The blast occurred at a home in the Riverside County city shortly after noon. Southern California gas company responded to reports of a natural gas line that was damaged by a contractor working in the home . The explosion occurred at 12:10 p.m., after crews had arrived. The company said one of its employees was killed and another was taken to a hospital. There are also three firefighters in the injured who have been rushed to the hospital.
