Assam Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma announced the launch of Sam Jila to strengthen the bond between the government and the public. Sharing his vision on Saturday via social media, he emphasized the importance of easing public access to government services. According to him, by connecting people directly with the government system, Sam Jila aims to reduce the challenges faced by citizens.

As part of this initiative, Sam Jila will streamline services by cutting down the need to visit distant district offices. Instead, citizens can now access essential services at their nearest Sam Jila office. This move is expected to save both time and effort, bringing the administration closer to the people.

In the first phase of this project, 39 Sam Jila inauguration programs are taking place across the state. Beginning Wednesday, district guardian ministers started formally opening these offices. Today, the Chief Minister is personally inaugurating the Sam Jila office at Jalukbari in the state capital, marking a key moment in the initiative’s rollout.

With this development, Dr. Sarma aims to foster a more direct relationship between the people and the government. This system, by reducing red tape and making services more accessible, is designed to create a more efficient and people-friendly administration in Assam. By prioritizing convenience, the government hopes to bridge the gap and build trust with its citizens.
